This is my little niece Sara, who had been trying on shoes from my donation box when we heard the llamas were out and about. We hopped into my car and drove around the corner to see them. I couldn't resist this photo of her in the snow in platform sandals! She voted against the shoes as too hard to walk in.

LLAMAS IN THE SNOW OCT 27
These llamas graze in a pasture close to my house. They are so curious and will come over to the fence to visit. They apparently like the snow, what with those fur coats and all!

OCT 26 - BIG SNOW
Woke up to this wonderland!
About three days from getting both vehicles in the garage. Meanwhile the Solara suffered while the Rogue remained protected.
My two favorite trees - the maple and the blue spruce. I went out twice today and shook all the trees so the weight of the snow wouldn't snap their tender branches.
My neighbor cleared me a path, but I had no plans to go out in this mess!

HELLO FROM COLORADO - NEW BACK YARD
Here it is October and I haven't entered any news since the big move in August! I have lots to share. Most recently I had the back yard landscaped just in time for all the deciduous trees to lose their foliage. Fall is a good time to plant here, if one can beat the first hard freeze. Many of my flowering annuals won't go in until spring but the fellows mapped everything out and planted empty plastic pots to mark the locations. Here are photos, including a macro shot of my pride and joy Autumn Blaze Maple. By early next summer, the yard will be full of color and greenery!
My patio fireplace, pavers and Compact American Cranberry bushes.
